PTL. PTL. PTL. x 892409.
as soon as i finished my child development final, i headed straight to innout to treat my tired, worn-out from studying self.
and i might even go as far as treating myself to a nice day at the happiest place on earth tomorrow with the A's.
yay.
bring on the christmas break.
and the christmas weight.
2. i have so many drama-filled stories in my head.
i started watching OTH season 4. thanks steph! and lucas just "died," prego haley just got hit by a car, and peyton just confessed her love and blah blah blah.
im reading two books. one about wizarding school and a boy with a lightning shaped scar. (the 5th one, i might add) and another about two best friends where the girl is in love with the guy and the guy doesn't know it. typical, but oh so satisfying when it comes to my sappy love story cravings.
and because of all this i'm seeming to forget that no, peyton didn't just tell harry potter she loved him, hermione isn't a character in OTH and the girl best friend in the book didn't get hit by a car.
-the stories are getting jumbled.
3. my dad likes to sing "oh holy night" at the top of his lungs while making a pot roast.
so i was deeply thinking about "Love" the other day.
not thinking about being "in love," just the whole concept of love in general.
and i have come to the conclusion that it is the most complicated word in the human language.
i mean, the complexity embedded in the words "i love you" ought to be a whole scenario for a video game, if anyone ever wanted to develop the concept.
player one: Heidi
Level one: "i love you" to my mom, dad, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, tias, tios, grandmas...and all other family.
meaning: i've got your back no matter what, sometimes you get on my nerves but i'll always care for you.
Level two: "i love you" to friends but mainly just best friends. not said as much but still meaningful.
meaning: we've had some great times together, i have so much fun with you and thanks for the memories. i love you even though we have to live our own lives, thank you for taking time out of yours to spend time with me. i know i can trust you and thanks for being there when i needed to talk, cry, spill my guts or just laugh.
Level three: expressions of passion for the great loves of my life such as dance, seeing God's work in action, the smell of baby powder and vanilla, those moments where you catch a friend's eye and each knows the other is thinking the same thing, disneyland, fisheye pictures, and when the sky decides to change color.
example: "i love sugar cookies"
ANNDDD,
probably the most tricky level of the "game"
Level four: "i love you" to a significant other.
although i have the least experience in this level,
meaning: i want to be there for you through thick and thin. i want to get to know your family and meet the people who have influenced you to become the one i fell for. i want to be your personal cheerleader and encourage you in your dreams and ambitions. i want you to be able to be comfortable being yourself around me as i am around you. i don't want to be your "everything" because that should be Christ, but i want to be not only your girlfriend but your best friend too. and i want us to be each others encouragement in our walks with Christ.
...there's so much more to that meaning but you get the general idea.
last but most definitely not least,
there is a fifth level to this video game.
Level five: True Love.
i have had the experience of this love, and will for the rest of my life.
meaning: unconditional, agape love. This love is only capable from one. My personal lord and savior. yay!
this kind of love is so different, amazing, merciful, and just plain inexplainable.
way too inexplainable to try to explain through a blog post.
I do not deserve
The grace that You have given
Or the promise of Your Word
Lord I stand in wonder
At the sacrifice You made
With mercy beyond measure
My debt You freely paid
Your love is deeper than any ocean
Higher than the heavens
Reaches beyond the stars in the sky
Your love is deeper than any ocean
Higher than the heavens
Reaches beyond the stars in the sky
Jesus Your love has no bounds
Your love has no bounds
