The beauty of simplicity

the simplicity of waking up late to the smell of bacon and eggs.

the simplicity of going through old things, 

finding the hospital bracelet you came home in the day you were born.

the simplicity of freshly cleaned laundry, and knowing you're going to sleep in sheets that smell good.

the simplicity of singing along with your mom in the kitchen while washing dishes.

the simplicity of eating chocolate ice cream for breakfast. 

the simplicity of singing your lungs out on the way to the grocery store, just to get lemons.

the simplicity of watching a movie with the family and eating salty popcorn.

the simplicity of taking showers in the middle of the day.

the simplicity of a friend's visit, even if it was just for 5 minutes.

the simplicity of taking a nap on the family room's couch and waking up to the dog licking your face.

i am far too blessed.
